Hip, downtown designer Katayone Adeli is of Iranian descent by way of a Californian upbringing.  Working for Los Angeles sportswear firm Parallel until launching her own label in 1997, Adeli made her name on sophisticated jeans and snappy leathers.  Mixing fabrics and textures, she creates her trademark look including fitted, low-slung trousers, soft, draped blouses, cropped leather jackets, and long chiffon dresses.

Adeli is best known for her amazing jeans, which boast double loops, flap pockets, streamlined eyelets, and a sassy fit. Devotee, Gwyneth Paltrow, let the world in on the secret when she told Vogue, "I try to get every pair of pants Katayone Adeli makes."

Now, Katayone has teamed up with Seven For All Mankind to create a playful and effortless collection unlike anything the sportswear world has ever seen.  Katayone was drawn back to the world of design after a three-year break because she couldn't quite find pieces to wrap up and travel in. Everything was either too basic or not basic enough, and K.A.7 fills in the middle ground perfectly.
