Dallin ChaseJason Cauchi grew up on West 16th Street in New York City, passing Barney’s Chelsea storefront everyday on his way to school at the Fashion Institute of Technology. This was only fodder to his inspiration to become a fashion designer. After completing his schooling there, he joined the design team at Alice Roi. Now at age 26, Jason’s new line, Dallin Chase, who is named after his children, son Dallin, 3 and daughter Chase, 2, gives the concept of effortless dressing a refreshing spin. Jason says with Dallin Chase he wanted to create a collection that would take classic design elements and mix them with unexpected details that are approachable and desirable. He describes Dallin Chase as a mix of urban and country. Dallin Chase dresses use humble ingredients like a cotton chambray and are finished with something that is contrasting, such as a very sharp, glossy trim. A dress-only line for now, Dallin Chase fuses a carefree, playful aspect with surprising details such as sporty mesh lining on a jersey bubble. “Most importantly, the dresses are wearable and easy,” he says. “I want her to wear them often. It’s not about day to evening; it’s about creating the perfect dress…period.” For celebrities like Reese Witherspoon, Dallin Chase it's a must-have for her wardrobe.
