BotkierNew Yorker, Monica Botkier first delved into the fashion industry as a photographer, shooting for several national magazines such as Seventeen, Nylon, Surface and Fitness. Spending her days running through downtown Manhattan and loaded up with all the essential items a fashion photographer must carry, Monica found herself longing for an easier way to organize her life. After searching for such bag, Monica simply decided to create her own that was roomy, yet chic enough to be trotted in front of the industry's scrutinizing eye. Drawing her inspiration from the fast paced and on the go lifestyle of New York women, Monica launched the first Botkier collection in 2003 that has since become a successful global accessories brand. With the continued expansion of the Botkier brand Monica launched a belt collection in the Spring of 2007. "Every piece in the Botkier collection combines personal style and luxury with lasting utility".
